While there are some good things in the software, and a potential for much more, there hasn't been an update in almost a year, and the developer is not responsive to feedback and implementation concerns. RS I purchased this app and two version upgrades over the past several years. I like Alfa and enjoyed trying it out, but I'm just not sure that I am willing to put in time and energy to manually keep a database up to data among several computers. This scenario is not what I am looking for. This would also mean, to my understanding of what you said, that if I added ebooks to the netbook to read, that they would not be added to the database unless I did it manually on the computer with the database. Does this mean I would have to export the database to the netbook in order to be able to use it when away from the network? does this mean that I would just be able to access the database only if the computer I am using is connected to the network in some way? I am thinking in terms of when I want to take my netbook out of the house and no longer have access to the network.
